Digital Rural Construction and Rural Household Entrepreneurship: Evidence from China

Promoting rural entrepreneurship is an important approach to achieving revitalization, accelerating the construction of a new development pattern, and enhancing well-being farmers. Based on County Digital Rural Index (CDRI) China Household Finance Survey (CHFS), we empirically examine impact role digital (DRC) household entrepreneurship. Our findings are as follows: (1) DRC plays vital in facilitating entrepreneurial behaviors (EB) performance (EP) among households. (2) indirectly fosters by resource acquisition opportunity identification. (3) heterogeneity analysis reveals that DRC’s promotion effect stronger local entrepreneurs individuals with risk-averse tendencies. Additionally, has more pronounced stimulating EB within lower-income families, while its EP shows opposite trend. Furthermore, influence particularly significant regions advanced development.
